BNL Round 2 of Regular Season- October 5, 2021
There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in BNL. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
Egoli Magic - NC Zebras 64-57 The game with biggest result difference took place in Johannesburg. Local Magic beat Zebras 64-57. Magic forced 19 Zebras turnovers and outrebounded them 50-39 including 20 on the offensive glass. Swingman Nkosinathi Sibanyoni orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Tony Chukwurah contributed with 7 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Zimbabwean power forward Thomas Rutsito (202-97) replied with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 20 rebounds and 8 blocks and guard Didier Tshimanga added 12 points and 5 assists in the effort for Zebras. Four Zebras players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Suns played at the court of Pride. Suns managed to secure a 5-point victory 49-44 on Sunday. Suns held Pride to an opponent 23.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 27.1 percent accuracy of the winners. Suns forced 21 Pride turnovers and outrebounded them 55-40 including a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was swingman Siphumle Qanya who scored 13 points. Ludwig Gerdes (191-94) chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds. Swingman Ernest Masimini produced 14 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Vlademir Sefala added 8 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
